Juan Ignacio brings over 20 years of experience in investment banking and private equity, with key roles at Merrill Lynch and Portobello Capital. He has successfully executed more than 100 transactions, including high-profile deals such as the billion-dollar sale of Maxam to Advent and the IPO of Técnicas Reunidas. As co-founder and CFO of Cabify, Juan Ignacio played a pivotal role in raising $500M in funding and scaling the company’s revenue from $1M to $800M annually. At L40°, he leads the firm's strategic direction and advises on complex, high-value transactions. He holds a Master of Science in Telecommunications Engineering.

Manuel Amor

Senior Director & Partner
Manuel brings over 12 years of experience in M&A, strategic advisory, and international expansion. At Deloitte, he conducted multimillion-dollar valuations, and at Sareb, he contributed to the sale of €400M in real estate loan portfolios. He later advised financial institutions on restructuring and growth strategies at McKinsey and led DiDi’s expansion across Latin America, Europe, and Central Asia. At L40°, Manuel leverages his global expertise to help tech founders achieve successful M&A transactions. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and an MBA from INSEAD.

Ignacio Villanueva

Senior Director & Partner
Ignacio brings extensive experience in sell-side M&A, advising founders on transactions involving roll-ups, strategic buyers, and private equity funds across SaaS, e-commerce, and marketplaces. With a deep understanding of the tech sector, he has successfully closed numerous high-value transactions and is recognized for his expertise in navigating complex processes. Before joining L40°, Ignacio led fintech sales teams at Fuell (acquired by Factorial) and represented Spain at the Olympics during his decade-long career as a professional athlete. He holds an MBA from Garrigues and a Law & Business degree.

Carlos Muñoz

Associate
Carlos has over 7 years of experience in corporate banking and asset management, with a strong focus on digital businesses. At L40°, he has evaluated thousands of companies, providing critical analysis to support financing and acquisition transactions. Prior to L40°, he launched the Private Banking group at UnionBank of the Philippines, developing tailored financial solutions for high-net-worth clients. Carlos holds an International MBA from IE Business School and represents the Philippines as a national baseball athlete.

Ricardo Sanchez

Associate
Ricardo is an Associate at L40° with a background in transaction advisory. Before joining the team, he worked at PwC Deals, where he rotated across various departments and gained hands-on experience throughout the deal lifecycle. He later specialized in valuations and financial modelling, advising on both buy-side and sell-side transactions across diverse sectors. Ricardo holds a dual degree in Law and Business from CUNEF.

Javier López

Associate
Javier contributes to the execution of M&A and debt advisory transactions at L40°, supporting complex deals for corporate and financial clients. He started his career at PwC Deals, working across corporate finance, restructuring, and debt advisory, where he assisted on refinancing processes, buy-side and sell-side mandates, and structured financing solutions. Javier holds a dual degree in Business Administration and International Relations from ICADE.

Juan Emilio Jurado

Analyst
At L40°, Juan Emilio supports the execution of M&A mandates and financial analyses for technology and software clients. He began his career at AXA Group as a Group Financial Controller and later joined Qualitas Funds as a Private Equity Analyst, working across a €1.2 billion portfolio. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from IE Business School.

Rafael Werner

Analyst
Rafael helps drive M&A transactions for SaaS and technology companies at L40°, combining analytical rigor with sector expertise. He started his career in investment banking at Bank of America and Leblon Equities, where he specialized in equity research and valuation. He also served as an Associate in the IE M&A Club, gaining hands-on deal experience. Rafael holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Investments from IE Business School.

Maria van Uden

Growth & Community
Maria contributes to marketing and growth initiatives at L40°, including content strategies and campaign execution across digital platforms such as LinkedIn and YouTube. She brings a hands-on approach to building the company's online and offline presence. With a strong focus on collaborative teamwork, she thrives on new ideas and strategies, consistently participating in brainstorming sessions to drive project visibility, community involvement, and growth. Maria holds a Master degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from ESADE Business School.
